The timeframe of this NAP is 6 years (2017-2022) coinciding with the sectoral and cross sectoral strategies which are currently being developed in Palestine.  A participatory approach was used in the development of the SCP-NAP. All relevant stakeholders in the different sectors were consulted and they shared there inputs in series of workshops, meetings, and consultations.

The Sustainable Consumption and Production National Action Plan was officially launched by H.E the Prime Minister of Palestine Dr Rami Hamdallah on October 5th during a two day Sustainable Consumption and Production Workshop and exhibition in Ramallah. The Prime Minister called in his keynote speech upon all national Ministries and entities, as well as at the international community to make the implementation of the SCP-NAP one of their priorities.

H.E the Minister of Agriculture Dr. Sufian Sultan and the Chairperson of the Environment Quality Authority Adalah Atteereh also participated in the launch and expressed their engagement in the implementation process of the SCP-NAP.
