Palestine SCP Assessment report.jpgThe present SCP State of play in Palestine closely assessed the status of Sustainable Consumption and Production in Palestine, through highlighting strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats,and various initiatives, in addition to the roles of the national stakeholders. The SCP assessment will be the milestone upon which an SCP national action plan will be developed.

Although this was the first SCP activity in Palestine, this assessment was developed through an effective participation of all stakeholders in the sector, representing government institutions, private sector, civil society as well as international donors and partners.  The consultation with the stakeholders was carried out through the preparation process through meetings and different ways of communication. In addition to this the document was presented in the final draft shape in a wide consultation workshop to all stakeholders for final validation.

Palestine is currently in the phase of finalizing their SCP-NAP which will cover three sectors:
(i)        Tourism;
(ii)        Housing and Construction;
(iii)        Food and Agriculture.
