Networking opportunities and better access to affordable financing, amongst other actions, have been the top priority requests suggested by Lebanese stakeholders and drafted in the recent  White Paper to support the country’s growing ecosystem of green entrepreneurs promoting ecological and social innovations.

To foster access to finance for very small sized start-ups and green SMEs like the Switchers, SwitchMed has organized coaching sessions to prepare SMEs pitch their green business and "Startups meet investors" competition in every beneficiary country, including Lebanon. A second round is planned in 2018 and the first one is going to be held in Lebanon.

After 2 days plenary sessions and a one to one team coaching session implemented in collaboration with Fondation Diane, SwitchMed is organizing a second match-making event in Lebanon, where 8 new green entrepreneurs will showcase their companies in front of potential investors. Entrepreneurs will have the chance to get relevant feedback in order to find the right financial players. Together with goverment representatives, and investors, they will have also the chance to discuss about their own cases, main barriers and chances to access to green finance in Lebanon.

If you are a green or social entrepreneur looking to learn how to pitch your idea to investors, or simply looking to network with key local investors, mentors or experts in the field; this is the go-to event. Please follow this link to register and be able to attend the event.

The event is a collaborative initiative among the SwitchMed programme and the Delegation of European Union in Lebanon to celebrate the world environment day.
