Promising results for Lebanon’s industry to be presented at a high level event in Beirut

On the 30th January, saving impacts from 8 Lebanese companies from the MED TEST II project in Lebanon will be presented at the premises of the Industrial Research Institute in Beirut. Together with the Minister of Industry, the Ministry of Environment, and the Delegation of the European Union to Lebanon, UNIDO and will confer on how these promising results could be used nationwide to share the TEST methodology in other companies and sectors.

Since 2015, the EU funded SwitchMed program has through the MED TEST II project demonstrated the business case of a resource efficient and cleaner production at 8 company sites from the food sector in Lebanon. The learnings, results, and recommendations from this project will be shared from UNIDO, the Industrial Research Institute (IRI), and the participating companies, to inform other Lebanese companies on opportunities of how to reduce their resource consumption and costs.
