In the framework the "Demonstration" component, in each partner country the SwitchMed programme is developing a pilot project for the circular economy in one of the key sector's of the national economy. The pilot projects contribute to both implementing national policies on Sustainable Consumption and Production and to putting into operation the Regional action plan on sustainable consumption and production in the Mediterranean, adopted at the 19th ordinary meeting of Contracting Parties at the Barcelona Convention for the protection of the Mediterranean Sea against Pollution(Athens, 9 - 12 February 2016).
In Tunisia, the SwitchMed program supports two start-ups in the tourism sector: Dar Zaghouan and Tunisia Ecotourism.
